Our Story

From Studio to Screen

L2 Tattoo was born in a small studio in Los Angeles, where two friends — both award-winning tattoo artists — noticed something broken about the industry. Talented aspiring artists were being turned away from apprenticeships, priced out of training, or stuck learning from unreliable YouTube tutorials.
They decided to build the educational platform they wished existed when they were starting out. One that was rigorous but welcoming, comprehensive but accessible, and above all — taught by people who actually tattoo for a living.
Today, L2 Tattoo has helped over 5,000 students across 50+ countries begin or advance their tattoo careers. And we're just getting started.
